Mission and Scope

The Group's mission is: "To foster achievement, capability and awareness in both business and research in Artificial Intelligence, and to promote the interests of the related community".

The Group covers all areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications.

These include, but are not limited to:

• Knowledge-based systems
• Knowledge representation, inference and reasoning
• Machine learning (including neural nets, genetic algorithms, case-based reasoning and data mining)
• Qualitative and temporal reasoning
• Knowledge management
• AI languages and environments
• Natural language processing
• Intelligent agents
