Dr Tianjin Huang (University of Exeter, UK): Abstract

Remote sensing imagery is inherently influenced by a range of environmental and technical factors—such as weather variations, sensor inconsistencies, and varying imaging perspectives—that introduce significant noise and variability. These challenges can compromise the reliability of downstream applications. As foundation models become increasingly integral to remote sensing, assessing their robustness against such perturbations is essential. This presentation investigates the robustness of recent remote sensing foundation models, outlines the associated challenges.
