Panel Session (Wednesday 17.45-19.30)

Artificial Intelligence and Privacy

Chair: Andrew Lea

Much of the public application of AI relies on, or generates, data. Data protection and information privacy remain an important issue, and with the imminent arrival of the General Data Protection Regulations, like all IT applications, AI needs to handle personal data carefully.

In this session we will discuss both sides of the privacy coin: what will the impact of AI be on information privacy, and what will the impact of privacy and data protection regulations be on the development and application of AI? How should the AI community address privacy? What techniques, policies and legislation exist or should be developed to help?

The panel will be chaired by Andrew Lea of Amplify Life.
